"When I started this plan I was feeling super sluggish. I was eating from cafes almost every day - usually a baguette and a can of Diet Coke or a hot chocolate, almost always a cake too.


Dinner would be the same things in rotation usually pasta or potatoes involved. I was mainly just feeling like I had let my diet slip and was eating lazily, things that used to be treats had made their way into my every day and I needed to do something to reset the balance.


Although not overweight I had struggled to lose weight following baby 2 and was definitely carrying some extra pounds. Mainly I just felt exhausted all the time and really like the way I was eating/drinking was going to have a big negative impact on my general health over time.


I haven’t been perfect over the course of the 21 days and there have been some slip ups. If anything these have helped me to identify what my triggers are so I can work on these in the future (lack of sleep definitely one! Emotional is another, being sociable too).


Following the plan made me feel infinitely better. I have had more energy, I have lost weight, I have felt clearer headed and I have slept better (despite my children’s best efforts!) I would like in future to be able to have some of the restricted foods without letting them take over my whole diet again. I think I can probably do this.


I would love to wave goodbye to Diet Coke completely (I have had one Over the 21 days) and cacao hot choc with hazelnut has been great in stopping my need for milky sugary hot choc. I’m lucky in that I already didn’t drink tea or coffee and I’m surprised how little I actually missed dairy. Maybe a little cheese on my omelette this morning would have been nice! But it’s not been a huge loss.
